Practically Perfect – Katie Fforde

Cute novel, English countryside setting.

An interior designer, still hung up on a guy she knew while a student, moves to the country to fix up a listed house and flip it for some experience and money.

She makes new friends and adopts a greyhound by accident.

She meets the most infuriating man, who happens to work for the listed buildings inspector, and finds that the object of her adoration's mother lives up the lane from her.

As you can imagine, chaos ensues….
